Enforcement Task Force Report

Announcements · Board and Committee Reports

To the

2001 ARRL Board of Directors Meeting

The Enforcement Task Force met once in March in Baltimore to review enforcement matters. Riley Hollingsworth was invited to attend and discussed the future direction of FCC enforcement.

Since that time, the task force has functioned in a dormant advisory capacity. Bi-weekly enforcement has been distributed to the Board via email.

The Enforcement Task Force completed its charge sometime ago, and is pleased with the progress and direction of enforcement of the amater rules. We recommend that the committed be dissloved.

This should not, however, be viewed as a change in the League's long standing policy regarding enforcement. The League strongly supports enforcement of the amateur rules by the FCC, and will continue to make every effort possible to ensure its continuance.

Any matter pertaining to the Amateur Auxiliary or OO program should be addressed by the Volunteer Resources Committee.

Respectfully submitted,

Joel Harrison, W5ZN
Chairman
