Just a few hours away!

Plans are getting finalized around here at HQ. Did a little shopping this afternoon - because what kind of open-house would it be without snacks?! I'm hoping desparately that my Zicam starts working soon - I really don't want to be sick for this exciting weekend! So, we'll see how my voice holds out...you may see me more here on the internet than on the air!

I hear we've got a group of about 15-20 folks heading down from upstate New York for our testing sessions and to enjoy some time on the air at W1AW. We're all looking forward to tonight and the weekend! Once I know who is here tonight, I'll get some photos (i'll be sure to get some more good middle-of-the night pics again too!) and list who is here...I always find it nice to put faces to callsigns!

I'm trying to decide if I should bring my now famous pink fuzzy slippers tonight....maybe K1ZZ won't notice if I'm wearing them! It's kind of a thing for me now.....when i'm here for contests or special events - I gotta have my slippers!

I'm curious - what kind of traditions do you have for contests or events? Do you have a favorite shirt? Do you have your lucky contesting sneakers? Please write and let me know! I'll blog you!

Listen to you on the air soon!!!

73!

Katie
