  • Remembering ARRL in your Will

Why is it that we postpone even the most important things?

Sometimes we're just too busy. And sometimes things are just too complicated...so many details to think about. Even the things that matter to us the most may end up on the back burner.

Creating a solid financial plan for your loved ones shouldn't be on the back burner. It is vital for you now and for them in the future. The thoughtful process of planning for the people closest to you and the organizations that mean the most to you will help you protect what is important, provide for your family and express your charitable giving priorities. There is no greater legacy for any of us.

    A Will or Bequest

A will or bequest is the simplest form of gift planning, but as you continue to consider your plans, there are many additional approaches to fulfilling your charitable wishes, including life income plans, securities, real estate, trusts or retirement plans that you may want to explore.

You may want to review the following brief outlines provided on our Web site of nine different planning opportunities. If you would like more information on these topics or if you would like to speak to ARRL's planned giving officer about your goals and how you can achieve them, please contact us or complete and send the Request for Information form.

If you are considering a bequest to ARRL through your will, here is some language that may help you prepare your bequest by including such words as:

"...to The American Radio Relay League, Inc, a non-profit corporation headquartered in Newington Connecticut (Federal ID # 06-6000004) I give....

    Or

" I give, devise or bequeath the rest, residue or remainder of my estate, whether real or personal as follows: (state portion) to the American Radio Relay League, Inc. headquartered in Newington Connecticut for it's general purposes (or ARRL fund or area of interest).

    Or

" I give to The American Radio Relay League, Inc. headquartered in Newington Connecticut the sum of $ _____ dollars to be used for its general purposes (or ARRL fund or area of interest).

If you've already included ARRL in your will or estate plans, thank you. If you'll contact us and let us know, we'd like to welcome you into The ARRL Legacy Circle and recognize your ultimate gift.

Please consult your attorney to customize language for gifts of securities, retirement plans, real estate, life insurance or other appreciated property.
