Technical Recording & Reporting
When you are arranging for field trips to telecommunications companies, ask the spokesperson to talk to your youths about specific duties of particular technicians and engineers. Also ask the spokesperson to tell them what types of educational fields they should pursue in order to garner a job in the particular field or company.
Ask four area hams to talk for five to ten minutes to your students about their careers. Ask the hams to talk about: a) what they actually do during the day, b) what their favorite parts are about their jobs, c) the education students should have in order to apply for the job and d) how Amateur Radio helped them in their careers.
