FCC open Labor Day weekend to handle disaster-related requests

FCC offices providing emergency telecommunications service authorizations will be open Saturday through Monday, September 3-5, to facilitate relief and reconstruction efforts by telecommunications providers affected by Hurricane Katrina. FCC personnel will be available between 9 AM and 5 PM Eastern Daylight Time at these numbers: Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau, (toll free) 888-225-5322; Enforcement Bureau, 202-418-7450; Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, 202-418-0600; International Bureau, 202-418-2368; Media Bureau, 202-418-2180; Office of Engineering and Technology (OET), 202-418-2470; Wireline Competition Bureau, 202-418-0696.
