I would like to thank all of those who sent in the resume/application information. It has been a great help in getting to know some of the players and seeing the talent these folks have.
There are two retirees to report. Cindy, KD4NLV, OOC has family matters to attend to and has resigned as of June 6th, 2008. Steve, KO4TT, TC and four other positions has retired just before June 30th, 2008. Both of these folks deserve a big hand for their contribution to the NFL Section "Hams". I wish them well in their new ventures.
Joe, W2DWR has agreed to stay on as NFL SEC until the section is running smoothly.
Once the requirements for the position are formulated, an advertisement will be posted for interested candidates to apply.
All the ARES appointments that were to expire on June 30th, 2008 are being asked to continue on with their duties. I will be calling on you in the near future to personally confirm your appointment. I will also be calling on some folks who I have talked to about positions that need to be filled.
Arrangements are being made to continue the non ARRL web site. Information will be posted as soon as everything is completed.
The emergency plan for the NFL Section needs to be rewritten. If you are interested in being part of the team to rewrite and validate a new plan, please contact me for information on the goals and objectives of this project. I would like input from the hams in the field. This is a primary project to get accomplished as soon as possible. If a situation arises in the immediate future, we will use the existing plan until the new plan goes into effect.
I hope that all had a great time at FD. From what I have heard, it was successful.
