ALERT: Mon, June 9, 2008; 1:08 PM ET Here's another positive media hit for ham radio, again in the Courier News of Central Jersey, and our website MyCentralJersey.com. The story about Hunterdon County's County Animal Rescue Team drill, including participation by members of Hunterdon County RACES and Cherryville Repeater Association II was written by my fellow reporter Linda Sadlouskos, since I couldn't write it, because I was a participant in the drill. More proof that ham radio can get in the news if you pitch a good story! 73 Walter O'Brien WO2U ARRL NNJ PIC http://www.mycentraljersey.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080609/NEWS/806090320/1002/NEWS03 --------------------------- Story in Sunday June 1st Courier News, the local Gannett newspaper for Central New Jersey, about John L. Manna, WA2F who just made #1 DXCC Honor Roll and does a lot of community work along the way. I won't say anything more about the story, since I'm the reporter who wrote the story. Any other clubs or PIO's get any media hits, send them along and we will spread them around too! 73, Walter O'Brien, WO2U ARRL NNJ PIC http://www.mycentraljersey.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080601/NEWS/80531016 |
