    Monthly Summary for August 2003

    Plan to attend the Arctic Amateur Radio Club Hamfest Sept 12-13, 2003, in
    Fairbanks (at the Old Alaska land park.) Check the www.kl7kc.net for
    details. Also plan to attend The Anchorage Amateur Radio Club State
    Hamfest on Sept 14, 2003 in Anchorage at the Northway Mall. Ed Hare,
    W1RFI, from ARRL LAB will be at both Hamfest. RM 10787 to change licensing
    and get rid of CW equipment is still in the comment stage tell about Sept
    15, said Jim Wiley KL7CC. Alaska has lost two GREAT Amateur's: KL7AM, Robert
    Hisamoto, from Fairbanks became a SK on August 11 2003. John Bierman, KL7GNP,
    20 year QSL bureau manager also became a SK in August. We all will miss
    both of them and we wish the best for their families.
