    Monthly Section News Summaries

    Monthly Summary for March 2006

    Hello fellow Hams,

Over the last 3 months, my staff and I have interfaced with several clubs
It’s a pleasure to be able to tell you how much I appreciate all the good work
    your clubs are doing.

The rewards to be a part of a great club, is to be a member, and any
recognition is just icing on the cake, not to be expected but to be enjoyed.

I know you all can put in long hours and wonder if anyone really notices, I
want to reassure you people notice and appreciate what you do, as a club and
    as individuals.

Its all about people, people make clubs, people make QSO’s, people make the
    ARRL.

Our technology is a tool to make friends, in your communities, on the air and
at different clubs. It is also there when every thing else fails, to support
in emergency’s and in public events

With the introduction of the HELLO Campaign and the 100th anniversary of
wireless, this year is going to be something special to all of us.

We have to encourage new hams, develop and support mentoring programs and
    participate in on air activities..

I really believe that the clubs of Western Mass, are an important part of our
current and future success. The initiatives that come out of all club
meetings will prove incredibly important to the relationships of ham radio
operators in your club and in other clubs through out the section.

I ask you to think outside the box, to come up with ideas that will lead to
providing better support to all ham radio operators, new and old, and to
share your thoughts and visions with other clubs in Western Mass

    73,
    Ed,W1KT WMA SM
