MAINE BULLETIN
Dempsey Challenge Ham Volunteers Needed!
The Dempsey Challenge is an annual run/walk and is Saturday Sep 21. Ham radio operators are needed for communications support. The goal is to have at least two operators at each location, which includes rest stops and net control.
REQUIREMENTS
- Mobile VHF radio, 50W min
- Able to be operational at location by 0630, Saturday September 21
- Able to remain on location until 1400 (some sites may be released earlier)
- Able to participate in pre-event briefing via Zoom September 14th

Saturday, September 21 at Alexander Elementary School in Alexander, ME on RT-9. (8am until noon) VE exam session at 9:30am.

TESTING SESSIONS

Bring a legal photo ID or two alternate forms of ID as listed at (http://www.arrl.org/what-to-bring-to-an-exam-session) and your FRN (FCC Registration Number) gotten prior to the testing session. web page: fcc.gov for free. Bring the FRN and any certificates of successful completion of examinations, and copy of amateur radio license if applicable. The photocopies will not be returned. Persons needing special accommodations should check with the contact person. Face Masks may be required. Check with contact person for details and to confirm session dates, pre-registration, etc.
