Meet Dr. Tony England and have your Hamvention® program or your ARRL Passport autographed! In 1985, Tony got his chance to go into space onboard the Challenger space shuttle. On his eight-day mission, he was a NASA Mission Specialist, responsible for conducting many of the experiments in the onboard laboratory. The mission included a ham radio payload called SAREX, the Shuttle Amateur Radio Experiment. He is the second astronaut ever to use ham radio in space!

DXCC Card Checking
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, in the ARRL EXPO exhibits area

Personnel from the ARRL DXCC Branch will be on hand to check your DX cards and applications. All cards will be eligible for checking, including old cards, cards for deleted countries and cards for 160-Meters. Applications will be limited to 120 cards (more cards will be checked as time and volunteer Card Checkers are available). ARRL/VEC administered Amateur Radio license examinations will be provided by the Dayton Amateur Radio Association. Technician through Extra class exams will be given. Amateur Radio and The Law, "Getting it Up and Keeping it UP"
