DXCC is pleased to announce the issuance of award number 1 on 70cm EME (432 MHz) to Jan Bruinier, DL9KR!

First licensed in 1951 and a career in civil aviation Jan retired from the cockpit 1991, then worked as a consulting engineer until 2003.

His 70cm station consists of 16 long yagis (24el, 8,5 wl booms) of his own design with open wire feeder. Preamp ATF58143 cavity into 23dBm mixer into TS870. TX 1500w.

With the guidance of his elmer, Charlie O'Brien W2EQS, Jan achieved 160 Meter DXCC in 1985 endorsing it to 152 entities. Jan was also helpful to Stewart Perrry, W1BB who as you may remember achieved 160 meter DXCC number one in 1976!

Congratulations to Jan and, who will be next?
