The one down side of operating here today is that we're not operating much yet. Code practice is going on now and i'm actually understanding some of it! I'm sitting here now taking practice tests for my general - passed one so far! Khyrstyne is practicing the code too. Bob, Jonathan and Chuck are rag-chewing in the corner....all is quiet right now. We're starting to get antsy - we want to get on the air!!!

As the centennial celebration of the first voice broadcast parties on, two hams outside of Charlotte, NC are getting married, and their wedding will be carried on ham frequencies. Catherine "Cat" Hage, WB4CAT, and Buck McDaniel, N4PGW, will tie the knot at 1 PM Eastern time (1700 UTC) Saturday, December 30th. Their wedding will be carried on the Charlotte repeater on 145.35 and on 40 meter LSB on 7232 KHz. The couple are even trying an EchoLink connection. Frank's children Marc, K4PGW, and Candace, K1TTI will join in the fun. Even the minister performing the ceremony is a ham -- Dave Roberts, KI4JSQ. Let's wish the couple a long, happy and prosperous marriage on this special weekend in the history of radio !!
