Still going strong after twenty-five years, the Murgas Amateur Radio Club is an active group some 100 members strong. Monthly meetings, which include an educational or technical program, are always well attended.
We have a dynamic group of Volunteer Examiners who conduct exam sessions quarterly.
In terms of operating activities, the club callsign, K3YTL, is well known by VHF'ers as we have been active in contests for 20 years. We also participate yearly in Field Day. Murgas also is a repeat winner of the Pennsylvania QSO Party, most recently being 1999.

Murgas members participate weekly in ARES nets. We provide public service communications each year in support of the Wilkes-Barre Triathlon, the M.S. Walk and the Hospice Hundred Bike Race.
