I am restoring a vintage Heathkit HR-20 and HX-20 and plan to convert the frequency display to digital. I would like to know if anyone has seen an aritcle in qst or any other publication on this subject. I thought I saw an article in qst a few years ago on this subject, but can not find it now. Any help will be appreciated. K8ISS |

Thank you Zack, that makes sense, and another thing is that when trying the display on my vintage signal generator that drifts quite a bit, the display is constantly changing. Thanks again, John, K8ISS |

I build a digital display for my Heathkit HW-100, using 7400 TTL and using the circuit from the one that Heathkit sold as a guide. I tapped into my HW-2036 for the timebase. It worked good, except for the digital noise getting into the receiver. 73 Don KE8DO |
