I have a vertical antenna composed of several lengths of telescoping tubing. the joints oxidize and at some point my SWR jumps up suddenly. So i have to periodically take it down and clean all the joints. I have heard of using "electrically conductive grease" to protect joints of antenna elements (tubing), but the only such grease i have found is very expensive silver laden silicone.

However, I have used NOALOX anti oxidant joint paste for electrical work. Has anyone used it to protect antenna joints??

I plan to try it once the temp drops a little (... it is currently 103F in the shade).

Thanks ...KE5HDF Ralph
