I'm looking at new TVs and Panasonic is making a big push on their smaller (42" is now considered small?) plasma sets. Are today's plasma TVs likely to produce objectionable levels of HF RFI? |

Here's a couple of threads that appear to answer your question: http://www.eham.net/ehamforum/smf/index.php/topic,69073.0.html http://forums.qrz.com/archive/index.php/t-253859.html There are other threads; but reading those, the Panasonic appears to be one of the better ones as far as RFI is concerned. Since many plasma TVs are notorious for wiping out the ham bands and destroying the hobby for many, I personally would never buy any brand of plasma TV without a guarantee that I could return it for a full refund within 7 days if I found it caused interference. Now, if your neighbor buys one ... 73 Mike www.w0btu.com |
