I’m considering replacing the 40m HW with approximately 134 foot wire to get 80 m and WARC bands. Anyone tried this? Seems like the 49:1 UNUN would stay the same. I would like your thoughts on this. Thanks, Dan |

Thanks. That’s interesting. I’m still hoping to replace the the wire from the ARRL kit with a longer one. No traps, just wire. |

The harmonic resonant frequencies are typically higher than desired, so a compensation coil is added to move them down. https://www.eznec.com/This program is now free. It can be used to investigate ways of aligning the resonances to selected frequencies. |
