| Like many, I don't have an optimum antenna situation. To make a long story short, I'm wondering how well the rather expensive non-radial multi-band verticals from Hy-Gain and other manufacturers work; how much of a compromise they are versus say separate dipoles. And do any stand out from the pack? (When I say "non-radial" I mean that they seem to have their own, truncated radials rather than 1/4 wave "external" radials.) I would be grateful for any thoughts.
