About Logbook

GERMANY Note that GERMANY is a deleted DXCC entity. The correct current entity is FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF GERMANY, and that's the entity current German license holders must choose when submitting a certificate request to LoTW.

ARRL's Logbook of the World (LoTW) system is a repository of log records submitted by users from around the world. When both participants in a QSO submit matching QSO records to LoTW, the result is a QSL that can be used for ARRL award credit.

To minimize the chance of fraudulent submissions to LoTW, all QSO records must be digitally signed using a digital certificate obtained from ARRL. Obtaining such a certificate requires verification of the licensee's identity either through mail verification (US) or inspection by ARRL of required documentation (non-US).

Software developed by ARRL can be used to convert a log file (in ADIF or Cabrillo file format) into a file of digitally signed QSO data, ready for submission to LoTW.

LoTW began operation on September 15, 2003.

Important Note for Linux and Mac OSX Users Versions of tqsllib prior to V2.0 (TrustedQSL prior to V1.11) contain a bug that causes generated .p12 files to be corrupt. All users should immediately install TrustedQSL V1.11, then save each current certificate into a new .p12 file. To eliminate future problems, get rid of any older .p12 files you may have.

Download the most recent TQSL/TQSLCERT configuration file. (Install it using the TQSLCERT "File/Load Certificate File" menu choice.)

Note: Some of the downloadable files are hosted on a third-party website that is not owned or operated by the ARRL.

TURN OFF pop-up blockers before trying to download the software.

DO NOT delete certificates when installing new versions of the software!

Version 1.11: Fixed a significant bug that caused Linux and Mac OS X builds to produce corrupt .p12 files. Also, the Windows version now runs significantly faster when signing logs. (See ChangeLog)
