In Figure 2 of “An All Band HF Dipole Antenna” [Sep 2008, pp 62-66] the symbol for Q1 is drawn upside down. The source should be going to the +12 V line and the drain to the drain of Q2. The gate diode should be pointed to the right. In Figure 3, the connections for VSS and VDD are labeled backward. VSS should be connected to the output of U1 and VDD to the negative supply.
In “Experimenter’s RF Spectrum Analyzer” [Oct 2008, pp 36-40] capacitors C1 and C3-C5 are listed correctly in the schematic as 0.01 μF. The value in the parts list is in error. Similarly, U2 is a TLV2372, as shown in the schematic.
The review of the Microtelecom Perseus receiver [“Product Review,” Dec 2008, pp 40-44] indicates that it will operate with the Linux operating system. In fact, the receiver requires that the Windows operating system be installed on the user’s computer.
