Arthur, N2ISB, of Charlton, New York, recipient of the Rose Ellen Bills Memorial Scholarship of 2000 dollars. Craig A. Gullickson, KC6CEX, of Fresno, California, receives the John W. Gore Memorial Scholarship, and Thomas G. Schmidt, KD4WNP, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, has been awarded the Edwin S. Van Deusen Memorial Scholarship (both 1250 dollars). For 1995, 55 scholarships ranging from 500 to 2000 dollars were awarded. These annual scholarships are open to all licensed radio amateurs meeting the qualifications and residence requirements of the various sponsors. The foundation is a nonprofit organization incorporated in the District of Columbia, and represents more than 75 clubs in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. FAR is devoted exclusively to the scientific, literary and educational pursuits that advance the purposes of the Amateur Radio Service.
