The Goddard Amatuer Radio Club (GARC) and was founded in 1968 by employees of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center located in Greenbelt, Maryland.

  The club has provided many public services to the greater community and frequently provides Amateur Radio demonstrations at regional  STEAM events at locations like the Smithsonian Udvar-Hazy Center. Other services include the support of ARISS, providing Amateur Radio contacts between the International Space Station and local classrooms.   In the past, the club provided HF retransmissions of the voice data from Space Shuttle allowing folks around the world to monitor the flight communications in real time.

  GARC has a 2M repeater located on center with backup power. The repeater  input is 146.235 MHz with no PL and outputs at 146.835 MHz. This repeater is also reachable via EchoLink using the WA3NAN-R node (40045).

 The club holds a daily net at noon (ET) and a weekly net on Thursdays at 2100 (ET). These nets are open to all licensed amateurs.  You do not need to be  a club member to participate.  Join us on air or via EchoLink.
