The Collins Amateur Radio Club (CARC) is a Company sponsored club, residing on the Richardson campus of RTX / Collins Aerospace. The CARC station N5CXX has HF to 1.2 GHZ along with our repeater, packet BBS and ARDEN NTX network.

Our purpose is to further the following goals: 

• Offer a focal point for Collins employees, retirees and others to advance their education and skills in amateur radio communications 
• Develop interest in amateur radio by working with other organizations both within and external to the corporation 
• Provide modern amateur radio communications facilities for use by CARC members 
• Provide emergency communications as needed for the surrounding community 
• Maintain radio relay resources to further the integration of broad communications capabilities locally and around the world 
• Advance the state of the art through the exchange of information provided by the varied expertise of members 
• Conduct club programs and activities to advance a general interest in amateur radio within the company and the community 

Membership consists primarily of Collins employees and retirees. We also offer non-voting associate memberships for others in the area, as well as memberships for interested dependents of members.
