We are a volunteer group that supports and reports to the Sheriff's Office of Nye County Nevada, and also to the Director of Emergency Services for Nye County, and also, to the Director of IT for Nye County.
We participate in Nye County's Emergency Trainiing Exercises, and supply additional communications for the couny during these exercises as well as during actual emergency situations.
All of our members are ICS 100, 200, 700 and 800 trained and certified at the very least, as we are the ARES/RACES group for Nye County Nevada.
Additionaly, many members are also C.E.R.T. trained and respond as volutneers in that capacity when called upon.
We offer free Amateur Radio License Exams for all three classes of license, Technician, General and Extra, by reservation , on the third Saturday of the month at 1 PM , at the Nye County Emergency Operations Center, 1510 Siri Lane, Pahrump, NV 89060.
