The Heritage Hunt Hams is a community club serving Gainesville and Haymarket, Virginia. There is a Saturday morning 2 meter net at 9AM on the FARA repeater (147.165 MHz). There is also a Thursday evening NET (7:30PM) on 10 meters (28.475 MHz).
The club has a close relationship with the community Emergency Preparedness Committee. The VA QSO party and ARRL Field Day are the two primary club operating events. Participation in Winter Field Day and various other operating events are used to encourage new hams (or those with microphone shyness) to get on the air.
